Terms of Service
Effective: September 12, 2026
1. Service and accounts
Help Me Korea, operated by Kim Junghyeon (김정현), provides area-based help connections, chat, travel information and community features. Users review and accept the terms during registration. Merely visiting the website does not constitute acceptance of all terms. Provide accurate information and protect account credentials. Do not impersonate others or use their accounts. Report suspected account compromise.
2. Help and information
Requests use your selected area and request details. Acceptance, response times and outcomes are not guaranteed. Helpers do not replace professional medical, legal or emergency services. Call 112 or 119 directly in an emergency. Place, hospital and ER information can change; confirm with the provider before visiting.
3. Conduct and reports
Harassment, abusive language, sexual content, advertising/spam, impersonation, fraud, illegal activity, privacy or intellectual-property violations and unauthorized system access are prohibited. Do not share personal or payment information with other users. Helpers must not coerce payment or personal favors in return for help. Report inappropriate conversations or content through the app or contact email. The operator may review reports and related evidence and restrict content or accounts in proportion to severity, repetition and risk. Reasons and an appeal route will be provided, although urgent harm prevention or legal restrictions may require action before notice. Appeals can be sent by email.
4. Content rights
Content remains the property of its rights holders. Users permit the display, delivery, storage and moderation necessary to operate the service. This does not transfer ownership or include unrelated off-service advertising use without separate permission. Do not publish content that infringes others’ rights.
5. Closure and service changes
Users may request account closure and deletion in app settings or by email. Service access is restricted upon closure, deletion begins under the Privacy Policy, and remaining data and backups are cleared within a maximum of 30 days. Any lawful retention follows the exceptions in that policy. Maintenance, failures or unavoidable circumstances may change or interrupt service; impacts and schedules will be communicated in advance where possible. Changes to terms will identify the content, reasons and effective date; separate consent will be obtained where required.
6. Liability and contact
The operator remains responsible under applicable law; liability for intentional or negligent conduct is not excluded wholesale. Responsibility for user conduct and external information depends on the facts and applicable law. We seek to resolve disputes through the contact channel. Korean law and applicable jurisdiction rules govern, without excluding mandatory consumer rights applicable to users abroad.
